Church Saint Nicolas

Voegtlinshoffen

The parish church of Saint Nicholas, completed in 1789, contains remarkable baroque furnishings that are classified as historical monuments.
Installed in the early 18th century, the Louis XVI-style high altar of the church is unique. This imposing monument marks the high point of indoor baroque architecture.
The finely polished walnut with its richly decorated boxwood inlays are enhanced by the fine foliage work that gives the entire altar its distinctive local character.
