Hiking trail Waterfall Nideck
Oberhaslach
Tour of hardly 3 km (1.5 hour) to the waterfall of Nideck and a detour goes to the ruins of the Castles (2km, 30 min). Mentioned for the first time in 1264. In 1816, the legend of Nideck appeared in the legends of the brothers Grimm.
The walk starts at the car park of the restaurant La Cascade 2 km from the village of Oberhaslach in the direction of Wangenbourg-Engenthal.<br /> Follow the Vosges club trail markers: a red rectangle. The trail runs along a wild valley with a beautiful view of the cliffs. After 25 minutes, the Nideck waterfall appears. The water flows out of a breach in a large porphyry face 25 metres up. This volcanic site is 250 million years old.
