Bergholtz zell
Bergholtz-Zell is located in the heart of the tourist itinerary on the wine route in Alsace, 5km from Guebwiller and Soultzmatt. This village was founded around the year 700 by a small community of monks governed by Saint Pirmin, founder of the famous Murbach Abbey. The Bergholtz-Zell commune is particularly well-known for its Oelberg Calvary, five oratories and chapels tracing the passion of Christ. A reproduction in polychrome wood of the last supper by Léonard de Vinci is also on display here.
