Dambach
A beautiful hike in the Northern Vosges mountains, punctuated by a few points of interest: the semi-troglodytic castle of Hohenfels, then a short detour to the Grand Wintersberg panoramic tower, which offers a superb 360° view!
Departing from Niederbronn-les-Bains by car, follow the D653 towards Dambach, parking between the church and the village chapel – towards Neunhoffen, take Rue Principale then Rue du Lion, following the yellow cross markings of the Club Vosgien. Continue towards the ruins of Hohenfels Castle – pass through the Molloch Pass and follow the blue cross on the left towards the Riesthal Pass – Liese Passroad - Optional detour to the Grand Wintersberg panoramic tower – then return to Dambach.
More info: Hohenfels ruins dating from the 13th century – Grand Wintersberg, located at an altitude of 581 metres, the highest point in the heart of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park.
