Ever heard of Walpurgis Night, the legendary night of the witches? It is said that on this weird and wonderful occasion, “the pagan deities of spring spread out into nature to bring winter to an end”. As night falls, the lights come on along the streets and paths of the museum, plunging you into these ancestral rites and revealing the mysterious legends behind them. Guided tours, folk dances and tales of black cats and other superstitions form a fascinating programme sure to ward off any evil spells.
