Ottrott
Two magnificent ruins dominate the Plain of Alsace above the village of Ottrott. Two medieval castles, separated by some ten metres, as if confronting each other: Rathsamhausen and Lutzelbourg. The first has a castle keep that is unique in Alsace and its significant remains give visitors a good understanding of how its inhabitants used to live.
Location and access : From Klingenthal, follow directions to Mont Sainte-Odile, park in the car park at the entrance to the Eichwaeldel residence and then follow the Club Vosgien signposting.
Opening hours
Visits possible on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm during restoration work (weather permitting). For a guided tour, please make an appointment by e-mail.
