Bischoffsheim
Bischoffsheim, a charming wine-growing village, used to have two castles although today only a few ruins remain. It boasts beautiful fountains, the oldest of which dates back to 1550. The old half-timbered houses, impressive carriage entrances and former seigniorial estates illustrate the village’s rich past. In the spring, the blossoming orchards invite you to take a leisurely stroll. Bischenberg, a hill overlooking Bischoffsheim, offers a lovely view of the Plain of Alsace, and, in the distance, the Black Forest. An old monastery, still used today, contains a chapel featuring remarkable stain-glass windows.
